It is 1 o’clock am I am still awake. Why- because my husband is doing is usual annoying habit of rapping a tune out on the side of the bed with his hands and at the same time talking to people who are supposedly in the room. If I ask him to stop he says ok does a little laugh and starts again. It’s torture! This has been going on for nearly a fortnight now. Anyone any ideas?

My wife was already on antidepressants anti anxiety meds and a change of the antidepressant to Mirtazapine and an increase of the anti anxiety med reduced, but didn't fully stop, that sort of behaviour.

Could the doctor give him a mild sleeping pill, then you could sleep in another room and he would get used to your absence.

Anti depressants and sleeping tablets - for him, not you!
Mum takes Mirtazipine and Quetiapine - she wasn't sleeping and was very anxious (and constantly talking.) They have certainly helped.
