In August, the Government announced the development of a National Dementia Strategy. A Department of Health Working Group will be developing the Strategy and an External Reference Group, chaired by Neil Hunt Chief Executive of the Alzheimer's Society, will be supporting and informing this process. The Strategy will focus on 3 key areas - raising awareness; early identification and diagnosis; and improving quality of care.

We want to ensure that we are able to include the views of all those who have an interest in dementia services - people with dementia, carers, commissioners and providers. We will be running a series of listening events throughout the Strategy development process. The events are likely to focus on each of the Strategy key themes.

If you are interested in participating in the process, you can register by filling in this online form:

Best wishes
