My OH has become completely unresponsive

    I’ve nothing helpful to add as my experience with both my mother and my husband mirrors that of others who have posted. I just wanted to wish you all strength at this saddest of times. I wish your husband peace.

    I talked to mum too, read to her from her childhood books and played her favourite music.

    If OH is religious at all, now is the time to get the priest/vicar/minister/elder/imam in to pray with him.
    Maggie has mentioned the little sponges (the District nurses gave me little brushes) to use to moisten the mouth and I put salve on mums lips and moisuriser on her skin as they were dry, to make her more comfortable.

    If he seems agitated and/or in pain do not hesitate to call the District Nurses - day or night
