Brought mum round for her 85th birthday tonight. As the weather was nice we had a BBQ, cooled off alot but sat her near BBQ wrapped her up with blankets and she really enjoyed herself, especially watching 9 year old load up BBQ with sticks to create a fire afterwards. It was the most 'with it' she's been for a length of time since the crisis hit in Dec 13.
And then in the car on the way home an ambulance with blue lights on went past and she asked if ambulances up here (she thinks we are different in the North) had changed colour as she thought they used to be purple
I did manage to keep a straight face but I am chuckling now.
