My mother-in-law lives in an assisted living flat which is great and has been diagnosed with cognitive impairement as she does not meet criteria for dementia or Alzheimers but things do point to the onset of Alzheimers I believe. She has just had a wonderful visit from her sister who lives in Australia and her niece and husband from Florida. It all went well but I think MIL is a bit anxious now as she has started her belching again. I am hoping it will pass but will keep an eye on her. Things that were once easy are now too much to cope with. The belching is a sign of anxiety which she was taking anti depressants for but did not renew the prescription. My husband has life limiting health problems so it is a struggle but this forum is wonderful as I no longer feel alone. I have read up on dementia as I have never known anyone with this awful disease before. The Alzheimers Society has been a great help and I feel better about the future now. How do other carers feel?
