Mom had a Tia and overnight became bed bound for 3 years with dementia

Hi everyone,
Looking for help, my mom has been bed bound with dementia for 3 years. For the
Last 6 months she has not talked but a few words a day. Mostly sleeps, has very few moments of lucidity. We feed her teaspoons of mashed foods and ensure and she does swallow. I'm wondering can she live like this for a long time? She has been out of it and incontinent for 3 years due to a Tia in her frontal lobe.
