2 possibilities are that your mail box is full or hers is full.

Don't forget - your sent mail counts towards your total as well as your received mail.

Either way when it failed you should have got some indication of what the problem was? An error message of some kind? If you could post that we might be able to sort out the issue.

Hi jennifer I can't remember what the message was or if there was one. Its ok now because i used the reply button directly under the message and that worked! Must have been doing something wrong or my message quota used - it has been at 100% a lot lately Thanks again Chris
