Mental health assessment in France

Hi everyone.

My husband and I live in France and he is being treated for depression. He suffers confusion, loss of memory and other things which lead me to believe he is suffering from the onset of some form of dementia. The doctors are insisting that this is being caused by the depression but I vehemently disagree and would like to have a full assessment of his mental health carried out.

I was wondering if there is anyone here that has had this done in France?
