Hi everyone i am a new member, i have been doing voluntary work for the Alzheimer`s Society in Teesside now for 3 years. I find my work so rewarding as i get to do various activities with carers, (ex carer mysef) for my mum she passed away over 3 years ago and i wanted to do something to help the Society. I am also an assistant to our training manager for dementia awareness, and i help to raise funds.
At the moment i am helping with our annual Memory Walk for the third year running, we are hoping to raise enough money to keep the carer contact line going, as its essential for carers looking after someone with dementia, for them to maintain regular contact from our contact carers, who do an excellent job in helping, by listening and talking to carers.

We are looking for people to sponsor us, or just give a donation to this much needed cause.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, if you would like any further details i look forward to hearing from you.

    Take care.

    mistylee.
