Memory recall

Hi there,just joined this site. My Dad has Mid stages Alzheimer's. Some days he's fine and others not. Yet he seems to have a mental block on a certain subject that he can't recall.It's only really that subject. Is there a trick/method/trigger action or word we can use to help us ?We end up repeating the incident time and time again.

Is it really important that your Dad needs to remember this incident? If not perhaps just accept that he can't remember? If it IS important=do you have any photo's relating to the subject?

I don't think there is. You'll just have to accept that memory is gone. Please only remind him of something if it's not a distressing incident like death of his wife etc. - that would be cruel and pointless.
