MEDS Meetings for early onset dementia sufferers and their carers

MEDS

This group was started in March 2012 by myself and another carer of early onset dementia sufferers. We met through the AS site after noticing there were no facilities in place for the under 65's sufferer/carer in this area of Devon.

We don't take ourselves too seriously as life can be serious enough, You may sometimes feel that You don't want to discuss your lives with relatives or professionals for feeling judged, or feeling that you have not been heard.

We are very friendly and like to Talk ,Listen and Laugh. We will discuss anything and everything,Dementia related or not. But most of all we understand the highs,lows and frustrations as we live it everyday like you.
People from all areas of Devon are very welcome

From what I have read on here their is not only few facilities for EOA
its prob the same for the carers of EOA

Love the bit about not taking yourselves too seriously. I have found over the last 11 years that carers need to meet and have a giggle as often as possible.
