Hello, my husband had a UTI last year that took a few weeks to shift with antibiotics. Since then, his short term memory has been bad. An MRI brain scan shows only global shrinkage in line with someone of his age, but no signs of Alzheimer’. He has gone though verbal and written exercises with the neuropsychologist, some of which he passed with a superior score, others just a pass and a couple he failed. This led the memory clinic team to diagnose him with borderline Alzheimer’s. We are due to see the memory clinic nurse on Wednesday when she will tell us about medication to help with the symptoms and slow progress.
I’d be really grateful for anyone else’s experience of medication, views, advice please. Thanks.
