LPA refund for deceased

Hi there. Like many others both parents were due refunds on their LPA costs. Dad got his very quickly, but mum had passed away just before the refunds were announced. Over a year on and still no refund. Has anyone else got theirs for someone who died?

I can't chase as I'm not executor but my brother calls every few weeks and just occasionally gets a letter saying there's a backlog. Is anyone else in the same boat?

I applied for dad post death when the refund scheme was announced and although it took a while came through to executor account in about 8 weeks or so after applying.

It took ages last year, but that was when the scheme had just started - maybe they have more applications now. I have to say, they weren't very organised then, and the process for someone deceased is not particularly clever, but they got there in the end.
