Lovely day

Mum's birthday today and six of us went to care home to see Mum.

The staff had put a big banner and balloons on her bedroom door and also above the chair where she sits in the lounge. Her room was full of flowers from visitors she had had the day before and the staff had organised a beautiful cake and candles and everyone sung happy birthday. I didn't have to do a thing except turn up.

I was so grateful and Mum was so happy because it was much more of an 'event' with more people than it would have been if she were at home with me. It was just a lovely day and I am just so happy that it went well, that Mum has settled and that the staff are so kind. I just wanted to tell everyone. X
