Looking for an Alzheimer's Mentor

Hi,

My name is Jamie and am currently training to become a befriender.

I am looking for a mentor who can guide, offer help and advice in becoming a befriender.

I am not visiting anyone yet as I am just finishing my on-line training and have yet to complete my two day classroom course.

I have just been to our befriender meeting in Eastbourne, East Sussex and met other befrienders old and new, it was interesting to hear their stories of befriending.

So yeah, looking forward to hearing from you.

I suggest you speak to your local Branch of the Alzheimer's Society as many manage befrienders to visit dementia patients. You will find them here:

My SIL is one and he is constantly in touch with the Manager of his local Branch.
