My boyfriend is only 35 and is fit and healthy and wonderful. His Dad had early onset alzheimers, diagnosed around 50. My boyfriend gets ringing in his ears during vigorous exercise but the ENT doctor cant find anything wrong with his ears. I was wondering if anyone knew of a link between tinnitus and early onset?

Danielle9003, it might be a good idea for your boyfriend to get his B12 levels checked. Low levels can lead to tinnitus and, in the long term, if not sorted out, to dementia type symptoms. B12 won't stop the development of Alzheimers but at least you could rule out one possible cause for the tinnitus. He's so young. If he listens to a lot of loud music, or has done, that could also be a factor but then it would be more general, not just with exercise.
