I find myself following my wife round the house closing doors including all wardrobe doors ,kitchen cupboard doors etc, even walking away from the car leaving the door open.no one else seems to have experienced this.

I think the doors and drawers are left open because the person with dementia cannot remember what is behind them.

Wardrobe doors, kitchen cupboards - always left open as well as the microwave.

Will get up and walk away after a meal and leave his plate and cutlery behind.

Leaves every light on.

Makes a cup of tea, puts the spoon down and leaves it on the bench.

I think my husband thinks that making a cup of tea is the task and can't see the final bit of putting things away. Gets his clothes out of the wardrobe - job done. Eats his meal - all done.

Good luck with that one. He's being doing this for years and I have never found a solution.
