Last weekend at home

I know how sad it is to see, but if your partner is settling and well looked after then that's as much as you can expect and hope for.

I found my husband much more settled when he went into his nursing home. He was not coping with the real world and his world When at home. Sad that he had to go into nursing care but it must have been a relief to him to not have to try to deal with the real world.

I could visit, key in the code to the nursing home door and enter his world. I was happy to be there, for the time I was there it was my world. When I left I was back in the real world. My husband was safe and content, it was me who was struggling now with a double life and trying to make sense if it all. It was better that way than him struggling and I was able to cope, he couldn’t.
