    Dads now 6 weeks post op and he doesn't seem to be settling too much as yet. The worst time is at night... He is awake hourly either wanting to use the toilet or wondering where his clothes are or some other out of context worry. Mum and I are sharing the load but the lack of sleep is really wearing. He is on all he can have medication wise, we try to busy him during the day to keep him awake but it's very hard when everyone is tired from lack of sleep at night

    Have you asked the doctor to see him? That would be my first port of call. Are you entitles to respite care? Another possibility to recharge your batteries.

    You need to look after yourself to be a carer. I have nearly sank a few times so look after yourselves.
