Hi
Have the same problem with my mum, she seems to be actually frightened to have either, so we use bribary (usually works) as she is diabetic she is not allowed sweet foods, and the suggestion that when she has finished having a bath we'll all sit down and have a nice cup of tea and a biscuit usually works (have had to raise the stakes to a slice of cake occassionally). I know it seems dreadfully but if it works what the ****, will try anything ... including telling lies .... if it means mum looks and smells like her normal self.
