I think the short answer would be yes. We're talking fraud here! And if the POA is an enduring POA, the guardianship office would have something to say, as well.

Yes, I'm sure you're right. While I have sympathy for people who have to sell their home to pay for nursing home fees, in this case it just all sounds very dodgy. They're not even saying that it's what the person would have wanted!
