Can anyone suggest how to persuade Mum that her pads need changing. We know each evening she performs and the room smells disgusting (which we have to sit in during the evening also) as well as risking a skin breakdown. She has barrier creams on and very absorbent pads but to continue 'sitting in it' and insisting that she's clean when she's clearly had an accident is getting me down
Any advice would be more than welcome
Thanks x

Who changes her eventually? Does she have carers in and could they come earlier? If she has a bowel Movement around 6 can you persuade her to the toilet at 5.30?

I know this isn’t easy as I am having similar with my husband. He can go a very long time without urinating but if I don’t get him to go he will be flooded. So it is a case of timing each day and especially early morning to try to get him to the toilet before he goes in the pad.
