We had had a great day with lots of laughs and intricate conversation on a whole range of things.
I thought my wife was doing o.k. until she said she was going to make some tea. She stared around the kitchen, so I suggested to switch the kettle on. Looks around the kitchen, everywhere. I suggest , this is it. She lifts it. I lower it. I suggest she switches it on. Stares around for what to do next...and so it goes on. What a contrast.

@Chris100 @Dunroamin I’ve noticed this too, recently. Fine (well, not fine but able to make a tea and toast) in the morning and a few hours later not even understanding what I mean by “get your cake out of the fridge”. A blank stare and then holding up the first thing to hand and saying, “you mean this?” It’s interesting to know it might just be tiredness - thanks @Dunroamin, your input is always valuable.

Sadly I dont think it is just tiredness. I do know that stimulation in the form of trying to follow conversations, social gatherings and shopping etc., seems to result in cerebral overload resulting in overwhelming tiredness, the grey fog descending and an inability to follow thought patterns and instructions. Its familiar objects that highlight things for me. It was the tin opener yesterday apparently! Today it would appear to be working out italics ?

That is really interesting about the impact of tiredness and the socialisation. My HUsband (MH) has always been very sociable and even now when with other people he really lifts and gets involved with thoughts and communication. He

Yes. My wife appeared to be less alert for a few days. The next day she slept all day and since then has come back to alert.
It bothers me what was happening in her mind during that lapse. I hope she was not suffering in her thoughts.
