Yes they definitely need to make clearer @jennifer1967. If I hadn't been looking at their website to remind myself on how to set up making a LPA for myself I would like everyone else assumed that any no longer needed could simply be disposed of at home. I'm clearly having seen all the posts on my thread not alone in thinking that and my dad's was shredded when I had completed the rest of his paperwork.

I was just thinking the same. It would not be hard to add one extra sentence on the final page of the LPA asking that it be returned when no longer needed. My solicitor told me to return it when my husband died or I would have shredded it.
