Thank you Nita. My GP said he was write to some body. but not sure. it was suggested a dementia cafe, but thinking of being in group is worrying. I want to no if what i feel see here are ok, but do not no how to takl about it. does that make sense.
Yes, that makes complete sense. It's a sensible thing to do. Can I suggest that you keep a note book of what people tell you - doctors and people who are able to help? You can always ask them to write it in your book for you. Keep it in a bag and take it with you.
Also, some of the people here who have a dementia diagnosis are writing blogs
here's Norman's it might help to read it. I know there's others too.
It must be very scary and I think it is important that you have people to talk to. Please keep posting here but also I agree with others that you would benefit from a group - a dementia cafe or similar. Your GPs practice should be able to give you details. But write everything down.
If you have a phone you can put appointments in the phone calendar to give you a pop-up alert. Maybe you can can find other people in your area who also have dementia? Once again a local organisation such as Alzheimers Association should be able to help.
You could also put an app on your phone to record your phone calls and then you can play them back a few times if needed.
Most of all you will find that there's always someone here who will listen and communicate and try and help. Don't ever worry about being judged. All of us - people with dementia and people who care for people with dementia - struggle along together. It's a great resource and you are not alone.
