I'm Shona, and I'm 26. My dad took a stroke when I was in final year uni. As a result, he was diagnosed around two years ago with vascular dementia. I'm taking it hard as I was a real daddy's girl. I struggle to understand his child like behaviour. He huffs about things, gets a bit of a temper, doesn't want to take medication etc. he's only 59. Can anyone help or advise? I don't know how long he has got, how to deal win him, or what's actually best for him. He lives at home wi my mum who cares for him. I go home and visit as many times in the week as I can but it's a struggle for us all.

Thanks xx
