if life was not hard enough dealing with partner who seems to have early sign of dementia our daughter is on edge of total mental breakdown when got phone call from someone that i should go to her as she was thinking of taking her life he said he better not come as we were expecting washing machine man left me to drive 2 hours and deal with it on my own and apparently told washing machine man i could not be there as daughter about to kill herself!! it is as though his emotions are not there any more nightmare ongoing with both of them

I am so sorry you are having such a difficult time, I do hope your daughter is alright. It must be so much worse for you with your husband unable to show any empathy.

I too hope your daughter now feels less distressed and the immediate crisis is over.

Sadly, your man's illness probably means it'll be easier for you to cope without his input than with it.
