How are current members counted?

I see the " we have x members & y current members". I'm just curious as to how that is determined. I'm assuming if a member doesn't log in for z amount of time, they are considered inactive.

Please satisfy my curiousity.

Joanne, I believe your assumption is right. However Brucie will have the definitive answer.

Incidently I see we have now nearly 500 active members. When I joined TP that was the total number of all members. This forum has grown so much.
