House worry

Hi all

Just wondering if my husband who has Alzheimer's ever had to live in a care home (hopefully not) would this affect the equity in our house.

If you have a tenants in common arrangement your half is protected anyway. While you are alive the house cannot be used to pay for a care home but if you died first then your husbands half as well as yours if you have willed it to him will be taken into consideration.
