House insurance for empty property????

I'm just catching up on my mum's affairs and realised her house insurance has lapsed (I know I am legally responsible etc).

I think when I last renewed it they wouldn't renew it again unoccupied, although I will check.

I am sure I've seen on here that there is somewhere that does empty properties for sensible sums of money. All gas, electric and water is off and whilst there are still items in the house nothing of value and furniture such as it exists will be disposed off (had quotes to clear). It was a buildings only policy anyway. Expect to sell in a month or so but obviously don't want to be at risk.

I don't live near but do have someone who will check it for me which I was a requirement of the other policy.

Suggestions please.

Thanks Jeany, that was the thread I knew I had seen recently. Just didn't occur to me to run a search:rolleyes:

I will follow up the suggestions :)
