Dad had a financial assessment a year ago before we started using carers. There wasn't really a need as he is fortunate that he is probably always going to be way over the threshold for any help but is this an annual thing now as I've been sent an appointment for another assessment.

Hi, we didn't have a follow up financially to Mum's first assessment.
Why not give them a ring and ask if it needs to be done? BTW do you have LPAs in place? Just a thought in case they won't talk to you personally.

we had an initial financial assessment in March 14, not had another one.
She is way over the threshold and always will be (we think) so the assessment was very very outline to prove above limits.

I agree with cragmaid. I think you should just explain to them that as your dad is, and probably will be indefinitely, way above the threshold there is no need for an assessment at the moment.

Thanks all I've left numerous messages but to no avail. I have LPAs in place thank goodness but they send everything c/o me anyway and have been very good about that. I'll write to them I think as there's no email address!
