Help with my computer please

Some advice please 3 questions

1. When the pointer is near a word a box containing lots of words appears, incuding suggestions for the word in another language. The annoying thing is that it will appear near eg the scroll bar so then I can't use that. I've tried ESCAPE but doesn't work.

2. How do I copy an internet address? When I point at it to then highlight it and copy the page opens.

3. Not so important to me but what is a cookie?

Hi Chris I'm not an absolute expert but I'll try to help..
Not sure about your first query but the second one about copying an internet address...to do that left click then right click and choose 'copy' open a new browser window and then left click and right click then 'paste'..
'cookies' are what your computer stores on it's hard drive so it 'remembers' the websites you've visited...
