If you're able to help with the below request, please contact the email address at the bottom of the post :)

We have noticed a number of posts on Talking Point about how coronavirus has impacted your lives and it sounds like it is having a huge impact on you. Alzheimer's Society has launched an Emergency Appeal to help raise funds to increase telephone support, so we can make sure we are there for everyone in these challenging times.

As part of this Emergency Appeal, we want to continue to tell your stories and directly share the experiences of people affected by dementia. Can you help?

If you would be happy to share your story with us and be named and pictured, to help raise awareness of our Emergency Appeal and the importance of our services, we would love to hear from you.

Maybe you live with dementia and are struggling to access care and necessities or are worried about the impact of self-isolating on your health. Maybe you’re caring for someone with dementia and are struggling without external support and respite. You might have a loved one with dementia who is living in a care home and you have concerns about the lack of protection and visitor bans. We’d also be keen to hear from you if you’ve already been helped by our Dementia Connect support line and want to show the difference it’s made.

If you are interested in supporting our appeal by sharing your story please let us know a bit about you and your story in the first instance by emailing: Sanna.Hamasaied@alzheimers.org.uk

NB: Unfortunately, we aren’t able to follow up directly with everyone who contacts us but we want you to know how much we appreciate any support you can give us. Thank you.
