Help over the holiday weekend

Hi there,

Can anyone give any tips on what help is out there over a bank holiday weekend? My Mum and Dad are still awaiting notification of a care assessment from Social Services and Dad always seems to have a bad turn over a long weekend and I just wondered if there is any support out there for such times?

What I do if I have a crises . I phone NHS direct , who talk me though it, then put get in contact with my doctor or if they feel that its needed would advice me to not hesitate to call 999 next time , so they have called them for me while I have been on the phone to them

another time I rang out of hours doctor who talk to me & advice me to ring 999.

If your father has a team of direct nurses coming around to his home , they also have out of hours team that can come out.
