Help needed

Im def not computer literate

Got on laptop today. Google is set as home page . It was totally black . When i highlighted text ,
it said something like
A proxy licence has expired something about S G O S and not being permitted .
Anyone have a clue coz I dont

First thing I need to say is that I know little about PCs (I'm a Mac user) but I had a search around and found this thread

Elsewhere, other people at different times have found that shutting your system down and restarting it can have a positive effect.

Had a look at the site .
will try shutting down when i can get downstairs , am here on phone atm coz am with mum.

Going by the site its been a prob for long while
