Does anyone know of any groups down in the west country

Or who else is down here going thru this heartbreaking illness with a member of their family? :(

Hi Devon Lad, I am going through this with my mum. I am not in the west country particularly, so can't help there, but I do know what it is like. Would you like to tell us some more about how things are? There will be people here who can really help with the feelings, and may be able to offer advice. Life can be rubbish can't it?

Love Pippa x

Hello Devon Lad

I have included a link to local information. Take a look when you have time. I am not quite sure whereabouts in Devon you are but opportunities are available for people with dementia and their carers in the south west.

I have heard that a new memory cafe very recently open in West Somerset and I believe there is one in Torbay. There are 'Singing for the Brain' events in some areas and I am sure there will be others.

This one is for Torbay

Please let us know how you get on :)

Very best wishes to you.
