Hi to everyone. :) my dad has gradually become worse with his dementia and is in a temporary care home which we do not think is meeting his needs. We would like to apply for continuing healthcare but do not know where to start does anyone have advice please.

Hi and welome to Talking Point

CHC is not easy to get - the bar is raised very high.
    This is the official document
    https://www.gov.uk/government/publi...inuing-healthcare-and-nhs-funded-nursing-care

The checklist gives a quick check to get an idea of whether he is likely to get CHC - more detailed stuff is in the decision support tool (scroll down to find it).
If you think he qualifies then contact Adult Services (Social Services).
