My mum has started hallucinating thinking events are happening and that people on the TV are in the room along with forgetting where the toilet and room is

Sorry to hear she is having such a difficult time. Apologies if this is stating the obvious but infections urinary or I have heard even tooth infections, can cause hallucinations - has this been checked?

keep posting and take great care of yourself xx

Thanks for reply she does have a cold at the moment that has prevented her having a flu jab but no infection so no antibiotics

A cold can make it worse too.

Once mum started confusing TV with reality we had to drastically reduce what she watched. No crime programs, no soaps and definitely no news.
