Haemoglobin

Auntie has been diagnosed with a dangerously low level Haemoglobin. 6 instead of 12 ish. Needs a blood transfusion but refuses to leave the house. (Only been out once in the last 18 months and that was to see the doctor).
Having little oxygen flowing through her body and brain she is confused as a confused thing and sleeps all the time. Had a phone consultation with the doctor. Useless. He just said yep she will be tired!
Any suggestions? And how long can a body tolerate this low oxygen?
Many thanks.

Welcome from me too @Waglet

Like @Shedrech I think you need to go back to the doctor and make a fuss. I suppose haemoglobin levels that low aren't going to respond to dietary adjustments like eating liver and red meat and dark green vegetables but I'd try anyway if your aunt will eat them.

Keep pestering that doctor.
