Hi Chris,

Have you looked below the message box and there are a list of miscallenous options. At the bottom it says 'disable smilies in text' - make sure that is not ticked.

If that does not work maybe more technical folk will come along soon.

Here are a few to keep you going :):):):):):):):):):):) :)

Double clicked? I only have to use a single click :confused:

Incidentally what happens if you type the code in for, say, a grin? That would be a colon : followed by a D No spaces. Does that display?

double click/single I cant remember, sometimes I double click thinking it will work more quickly :rolleyes: i'll try cool :cool:

its probably the yellow smile and the blue frown I use most and dont know if theres a way of doing those :rolloeyes:

So you can only get them by typing the term?

I'm sorry I really don't know what else to suggest unless it is that the dongle has some kind restriction - I know nothing about these things. Which one is it?

still no smiles although it worked once with the :rolleyes: smiley.

strange thing is I can use the smilies on my emails - not on here gonna put a confused smly here! nope here, nope none of them works, no ideas? becoming a nuisance now as i really like using smilies here and there as emphasis


edit! the rolleyes one worked coss i typed it in

Chris - I think you need to contact your dongle supplier (not something I ever thought I'd be typing :eek:).

Ask them if there is some issue with this specific dongle and vbulletin (which is the software this forum uses).
