We've had quite a bit of rain, although it has now dried up

Properly heavy rain at one point. Definitely enough for the grass to grow and to rescue our privet hedge - never had to water the hedge in the last 20 years - I might have lost a heebee though - it's in a side bed at the front which I have to go round to look at - can't see as I drive past.

I have been just doing the same. Planted spring onions in the greenhouse along with a few others. Manures the veg patch..In this bad time it is nice to have something that is giving pleasure.
My plum tree is looking ok but not the apple trees. I have had an aphid infestation so ordered ladybirds on line.?In the process of doing the garden path. My potatoes are growing like mad?

My very kind son in law lead the other kids in painting my fence yesterday, over half done and I am so pleased. Spent an hour this morning arranging plants. I was just overwhelmed by his kindness and he says he will come and finish the rest when he has time. It was so hot

That looks lovely. I have got to do mine. I’m collecting plastic bottles. Apparently if you drill holes in them and put string through you can hang them with plants in them. ?

Oh that’s different, I had some hessian, overlooked the sides and made some pouches. I put plastic bags inside as the hessian deteriorates in water. I used it for potatoes last year, pulled the sack up and the bottom fell out!!
My husband put the fence up the year before he died but it desperately needed painting and it has put a real happy spring in my step today. It’s really stupid as I have been feeling really down in the dumps and tearful but half a painted fence and I am happy as Larry!!

I love being in the garden. It is my escape route. I have just ordered a greenhouse. It’s coming from Germany but I cannot wait?

Out in the garden yesterday. I put a raised bed together and popped some seeds in . Let’s hope they germinate. I’m not having much luck with beans at the moment . The path will be finished this week. My greenhouse will be here in 5 days ?.

Out painting the fence but ran out. More in the way via eBay. I have put a garden mirror up at the back to catch some light..The greenhouse has arrived and is half up.I ordered a little shelf to hold seeds in and have put some herbs in them.
Lettuce is coming on but one of my apple trees has died and my acer in a pot is not looking great.
After the green house will be a little wildlife pond..My sanctuary.

Was that your acer in the photo? I put mine in pots of ericaceous compost for a year or two before planting out....that seemed to have worked. Greenhouse is looking good. I bet you can’t wait to use it. Showed mum my garden today....she rarely walks in it.....let’s just say that she was a bit non plussed ..

Hi. The acer is looking a bit sad. It is potted in ericaceous compost but I have it in a whisky barrel . With the rain down here it is a bit saturated. I think I’m going to have to repot it for it to survive.
The chap who is putting up my greenhouse said a lot of people sit in theirs. I probably will to get away from phones etc?
