I am taking the opportunity to thank the author of the poem ( Accord 123?) which was read at my father in law's funeral last week.
Sadly he died alone as so many because of Covid 19 though his death was not related to the virus. . The last time the family saw him was on 14 March and then came lockdown and he died on 7 May.
The sentiments expressed struck an accord not only with me but also with the few members of the family who could attend. My father in law had suffered from Alzheimer's for many years.
I would have liked to have acknowledged the author rather than just put Anon. It would to my mind be worth putting out there his/her name.
Seeking suitable readings I came across this poem recommended by another post on this site. There were many recommendations on the site of suitable poems/reading which I found helpful. So thanks to all those who post suggestions.
