I’ve been told if you have a dementia diagnosis you are entitled to free prescriptions? Does anyone know if this is correct as we currently pay 10.40£ per month for mine. Thanks in advance.

my friend who has FTD has recently been told it’s free for her?
She is probably eligible in some other way. My OH, for example, gets free prescriptions, but that is because he is over 60 years old. He would also get it if he were on some means tested benefits.

Whether free or not dosset boxes help but chemist has just informed the charge for this once free service is going to be £10 per week hence £40 a month.
We can manage but another job for main carer, anyone in early stages may not get the help needed. Many chemists are charging for home delivery too.
