I know there has been some discussion on taking folic acid and I want to get on it but am unsure what the recommended dosage is. Does anyone have that info or know where I can find it?
    Thanks,

    Hi Debbie,

I think you can find the information on the Alzheimer's Association (USA) web site:

    http://www.alz.org/news/05q3/081205.asp

The actual research appeared in a journal that they publish.

The UK Alzheimer's Society also has an article on this topic:

    http://www.alzheimers.org.uk/Research/Research_in_the_news/051006folates.htm

I have to say that I regularly check the Alzheimer's Association's (USA) News page, as they have a very good coverage of policy and research stories that is up-to-date:

    http://www.alz.org/News/overview.asp

    Take care,

    Sandy

Incidentally, I took folic acid and iron supplements for a month (was deficient in iron) and found that with folic acid, I wasn't as crochety as I normally am on those special days. :)
