A reminder about threads and posts.

A thread is a topic that has been raised by a member.

In essence, it is a conversation on that topic that may include a number of members who reply to give their views.

The person who started the topic did so making an initial post.

Other members reply to the thread with their own posts.

It can be a challenge to find a thread that we have posted, or a reply someone may have made to a question we have posed in any thread.

There is not a simple way to go straight to what we may want to know, but we can use the forum tools to get there.

Please see below for details.

If there are many posts listed, they will be split into pages, and you need to click in the next page to move there.

N.B. only the latest 500 posts can be seen because they are all that are kept by the forum software.

Ninth step

If you click on the first link Walkabouts, you will be taken to the first post that was made in that thread.

Not your first post, but the first post of the thread.

If you click on the second link I once had to climb a 6 foot fence around the..., then you will be taken to that reply.

Please note that the list of posts will have one entry for every reply you made in that thread.

A list of the threads you have created will appear.

Click on a thread title - they are underlined - to view a particular thread.

Where a thread has spread over several pages, the page numbers are also underlined and you can click on one to move to a particular page.
