Because this is starting to affect MH, in photos and mirrors anyway, I did some research and found this article which in a small way is comforting. Gives lots of helpful tips when your LO no longer recognises your face. Just click on the wording and it will take you straight there.

Thank you for the reference, @Pusskins . My wife has lewy body dementia and seems to have a lack of facial recognition. I am a little more reassured.

Thank you. This is helpful. My Mum no longer recognises me and when I go to visit it's like I'm an inconvenience that she wants to get away from.

Thanks Pusskins this is interesting, I shall try it out when I next visit my husband. The only thing at the moment is those masks which are just not helpful, we are asked to wear them even with the distancing.
