As the daughter of someone with Semantic Dementia I have found it hard to find other people who are caring for a loved one with this form of the disease and who therefore might understand the different challenges involved. I have recently set up a Facebook group for anyone else who might also like to make contact with others in a similar situation. It can be found here https://www.facebook.com/groups/semanticdementia/ or simply by searching Semantic Dementia on Facebook itself.

We are currently a small group and we each have similar but unique experiences. I hope being able to share these with others will be good for everyone. Talking Point is a great forum but the rarer forms of dementia can get lost in the world of Alzheimer's. This group is just for Semantic Dementia and I hope you will find it useful.

This is a really good idea. I get a lot out of the Posterior Cortical Atrophy Awareness closed Facebook group which now has 847 members from all over the world.

I guess you are aware of http://www.raredementiasupport.org/ and http://www.ftdtalk.org/ which both contain and give links to information relating to Sementia Dementia and other variants of FTD.

All the Best,
Rich
