Just to make everyone aware - there is a Facebook Alert page where details of vulnerable people who go missing can be posted. It is entitled Child Alert but, given the recent two tragic cases we have all known of on TP, I spoke to the page owner and they are very willing to post details of ANY vulnerable person who goes missing.

If you see someone mention a missing person on TP - please suggest to them they contact this page as it has been very successful in many instances of missing children and young adults and could be so with people with dementia as well.

Thanks for that :)

My mum is only in the early stages of this but decided (after a row with my dad) to walk to my house, without telling anyone. She got lost. She got the right street but thought I lived at no.56, I live at no.156.
Don't think I've ever been so worried, was searching for recent pics of her ready to give to the police! Thankfully we found her after about an hour, but in that time she had fallen & was obviously very distressed.
When it happens you want to know about anything that may help.
