My sister and I both have EPA for my mother. My father organized this in 2006 when they made their wills (he has since died) My mum has Alzheimers and I am exercising this for her financial matters, but is there anything that we cant do under this old system? I know its all changed now and its LPA. Does anyone know the answer to this? thanks

I had enduring for my now late mother.
I never came across any hurdles that I couldn't cross with EPA rather than LPA

If anything it carries more clout.

I don't ( if I am really honest) think banks etc know the difference

The EPA doesn't cover health and welfare so if you wanted that and your mum has still capacity, you'd have to do a health and welfare LPA.
