End stage dementia

My husband has dementia with Lewy bodies. Where as he used to have good days and bad days he’s not had a good day for the last week and his behaviors have changed. He cannot form sentences and he’s having the usual hallucinations but now he’s going rigid and staring into space. I am not sure if he recognizes me. I’m still able to take care of him and if this is the end stage I want him to be home with me. Anyone in the same circumstances?

When there is a sudden change like that its always worthwhile getting them checked for an infection - especially the dreaded urinary tract infection (UTI)
